Day 1 Wednesday, 25 March 2026 Depart Australia We depart Australia today on our flights to South Africa.
Day 2 Thursday, 26 March 2026 Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe On our arrival into Johannesburg airport this morning we transfer to our connecting flight to Victoria Falls Airport. On arrival we are transferred to Hwange National Park and our Safari Lodge. Named after a local Nhanzwa chief, Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe, occupying roughly 14,650 square kilometers. It is located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the mighty Victoria Falls. It became the royal hunting grounds to the Ndebele warriorking Mzilikazi in the early 19th century and was set aside as a National Park in 1929. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded. The elephants of Hwange are world famous and the Park’s elephant population is one of the largest in the world.
Day 3 Friday, 27 March 2026 Hwange National Park Today we have our first safari at Hwange National Park. We will hopefully see the ‘Big 5’ – Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. We’ll also see many varieties of colourful birds Our experienced guide will help us spot hard-to see animals, so we make the most of the safari.
Day 4 Saturday, 28 March 2026 Hwange National Park Our second day on safari in the Hwange National Park is sure to be another day of great wildlife sightseeing and memorable experiences. The afternoon is free to relax.
Day 5 Sunday, 29 March 2026 Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe This morning we travel to Victoria Falls and enjoy a sightseeing tour. Victoria Falls are among the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. The Zambezi River, which is more than 2 km wide at this point, plunges noisily down a series of basalt gorges and raises an iridescent mist that can be seen more than 20 km away. A great day to experience one of the major natural wonders of the world.
Day 6 Monday, 30 March 2026 Victoria Falls Today is a free day to explore the Victoria Falls area.
Day 7 Tuesday, 31 March 2026 Victoria Falls A free day to explore the Victoria Falls area. Perhaps try riding the rapids down the Zambezi River or a helicopter flight over the falls.
Day 8 Wednesday,1 April 2026 Cape Town, South Africa Today we fly to the city of Cape Town, South Africa. Known as the “Mother City”, Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa. Perched between the ocean and Table Mountain, with a national park as its heart, there is nowhere like Cape Town. On arrival we will be transferred to our hotel.

Day 10 Friday, 3 April 2026 Cape Town Today is a free day to enjoy Cape Town. You might wish to take a full day tour to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, the most south-westerly tip of Africa.
Day 11 Saturday, 4 April 2026 Embarkation Today we are transferred to the port to board the MSC Opera for our cruise up the west coast to Namibia. Please note we are travelling on a Jazz Themed Cruise.
Day 12 Sunday, 5 April 2026 At Sea A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.
Day 13 Monday, 6 April 2026 Walvis Bay, Namibia At 4.00pm, we arrive in Walvis Bay, a small port on the Skeleton Coast of Namibia and the gateway to the Namib Desert. Sheltered by the Pelican Point sand spit, its tidal lagoon is home to abundant birdlife including flamingos, pelicans and Damara terns. The harbour is busy with fishing boats and ships. Dolphins, whales and Cape fur seals inhabit the Atlantic waters around the Pelican Point Lighthouse.
Day 14 Tuesday, 7 April 2026 Walvis Bay Take a tour into the desert or explore the curio markets, craft shops, art galleries, museums and the beachfront. The MSC Opera sails at 2.00pm.
Day 15 Wednesday, 8 April 2026 At Sea A free day to enjoy the facilities of the ship.
Day 16 Thursday, 9 April 2026 Disembark/Cape Town After disembarking the MSC Opera we are transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Day 17 Friday,10 April 2026 Depart Cape Town This morning we are transferred to the airport for our flights back to Australia
Day 18 Saturday,11 April 2026 Arrive Australia Today we arrive in Australia and the tour concludes.
