Day 1 Friday February 7, 2020 Departure
This afternoon board the Celebrity Solstice on this fantastic Cycle and Cruise journey of New Zealand. Be up on deck as we cruise Sydney Harbour and out through Sydney Heads.
Day 2 Saturday February 8, 2020 At sea
Our first day at sea, this is the perfect opportunity for you to explore and enjoy the fabulous facilities of the ship. This evening we have a welcome drinks party so you can meet other passengers in the group.
Day 3 Sunday February 9, 2020 Hobart, Australia
We first ride along the Hobart foreshore from the city centre to MONA. Enjoy the views of the Derwent River and Mt Wellington as you cycle through this beautiful city. You then have the option of visiting the intriguing MONA for the afternoon or transferring to the Clarence Foreshore Trail on the other side of the Derwent. Following the Derwent River, this trail between Geilston Bay and Howrah is a mix of wide concrete and narrow gravel paths. On our journey, we will see a wide range of scenery, from picturesque bays to forests and parklands.

Day 6 Wednesday February 12, 2020 Fiordland National Park, New Zealand
Today we cruise through some of the most spectacular scenery in New Zealand as we visit Milford Sound followed by Doubtful and Dusky Sounds. The Fjords will be a highlight of the cruise, with spectacular scenery and fascinating wildlife.
Day 7 Thursday February 13, 2020 Otago Central Rail Trail
Today we arrive into Dunedin. Originally founded by Scottish settlers and known as the Edinburgh of the South. We are transferred to the Otago Central Rail trail, the first of New Zealand’s Rail Trails and the Original Great fun and luxury cruising aboard Celebrity Solstice Great Ride. Located along the former route of the Otago Central Railway, we will ride along a portion of this off-road 152-kilometre-long trail. We enjoy this fantastic trail and ride past historic gold-mining villages, country pubs and through rugged scenery. A fantastic day!
Day 8 Friday February 14, 2020 Akaroa – Little River Trail
This morning we arrive into the tender port of Akaroa. We will be met by our private coach and travel to Christchurch to start cycling the Little River Rail Trail to the town of Little River. This 49 kilometre trail travels beside Lake Forsyth along the old rail embankments and tracks. You’ll be treated to stunning views of the Southern Alps, Lakes and a variety of bird life. We are then transferred back to Akaroa and the ship.

Day 10 Sunday February 16, 2020 Tauranga/ Rotorua
This morning we arrive in Tauranga. Our coach will travel to Rotorua where our trail begins through a wonderland of steaming vents, bubbling mud pools and spectacular geysers. Between the trail heads at Rotorua and the Waikite Valley Thermal Pools, this cycle trail takes us to four significant geothermal fields: Whakarewarewa, Waimangu Volcanic Valley, Wai-OTapu Thermal Wonderland and Waikite Valley Thermal Springs. Each has its own unique geothermal features, including rare flora and fauna, and is rich in Maori history and folklore. Another great day!
Day 11 Monday February 17, 2020 Auckland
This morning we arrive in Auckland, the largest city and commercial centre of New Zealand. After breakfast we will disembark the ship. Today we will cycle Auckland’s city bike paths including the exciting Te Ara I Whiti (the pink lightpath) and Tamaki Drive along the Auckland waterfront. Te Ara I Whiti, the lightpath, is a magenta-coloured path along the Nelson Street off-ramp, which includes a string of interactive lights along one side. Tamaki Drive heads east to Mission Bay with wonderful views out to Rangitoto and the harbour. There will be time for a coffee in St Heliers before returning to downtown.
Day 12 Tuesday February 18, 2020 Auckland
Our exploration of Auckland continues today. We will cycle some of the trails of the North Shore. Beginning in historic Devonport, across the harbor from Auckland we cycle north to Takapuna, through Milford and then onto Albany. We return to Auckland for lunch.
Day 13 Wednesday February 19, 2020 Hauraki Rail Trail
After breakfast we travel south to meet the Hauraki Rail Trail at Kopu. We cycle along the Seabird Coast to Kaiaua and then along to Thames where we stay the night.
Day 14 Thursday February 20, 2020 Hauraki Rail Trail
Today we follow the historic railway corridor from Thames winding through the Karangahake Gorge to Waihi. The trail travels through some of the most stunning scenery in New Zealand through the historic railway corridor from Thames to Waihi. We then transfer to our hotel where we have a farewell dinner to celebrate our trip!

Tour Operator:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd (ABN 64 005 817 078) is the tour operator.
Tour Costs:
The tour costs are based on general transport, accommodation costs and foreign exchange rate at 1/12/18. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 90 days of departure from Australia.
Deposits and Payments:
A deposit of $900 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 90 days before departure for the tour. A 1.5% administration fee will be charged on payment by credit card.
Cancellation Charges:
Cancellations within 90 days of departure will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellation outside 90 days from departure will result in a cancellation fee of $900 per person.
Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers and Conditions:
The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 90 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost. Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances and/or substitute the tour host, if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Travel Documents:
All passengers will require a valid passport. Visas for countries visited are not required for Australian passport holders. If you hold another passport please check with Travelrite.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Baggage:
All passengers qualify for the 23kg free baggage allowance.

Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negli-gence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in the State of Victoria.
